One address, and what happens to it.
CompoundEU collects one piece of personal data: the email address of a reader who asks for the newsletter. This page says where it goes, who else touches it, and how to have it removed.

What we collect
The signup form asks for an email address, and that address is the only personal data CompoundEU collects. Nothing else is asked for and nothing else is stored: no name, no country, no company, no reason for subscribing.
There is no account to create, no login, no comment section and no advertising network on the site. No cookie is set by CompoundEU, and there is no tracking of readers across other sites.
Reading CompoundEU without subscribing therefore leaves no personal data behind. Traffic is measured, but only in aggregate and without identifying anyone — see who processes it below.
What it is used for
One thing: sending you the newsletter. That is an email when a new piece is published and the editor decides to send it out — not a digest, not a schedule, and nothing between pieces.
The address is used for nothing else. It is never sold, never rented, never shared with another publisher or platform, and never passed to anyone for marketing. There is no arrangement under which the list could be, because the list is not a product.

Resend
Newsletter delivery and the subscriber list
Resend stores the list and sends the emails. It processes the data in the United States, under the Standard Contractual Clauses — the terms approved for moving personal data out of the European Union.
Vercel
Hosting, and measuring traffic
Vercel serves the site and measures how it performs, through Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. Neither uses cookies and neither identifies individual visitors: what they collect is aggregate, anonymous figures — page views, load times — with nobody behind them.
Your rights
Most readers here are in the European Union, where the GDPR gives you the right to see the personal data held about you, to have it corrected, and to have it erased.
- Unsubscribe, at any moment
- Every issue carries a one-click unsubscribe link at the foot of it. Nothing has to be requested and nobody has to approve it — the link is the whole process.
- See what is held, or correct it
- Write to info@compoundeu.com and you will be told exactly what is stored, which will be an email address and the date it was added, or have it corrected.
- Have it deleted
- Write to info@compoundeu.com and ask, and the address is removed from the list.
How long it is kept
Your address stays on the list for as long as you want the newsletter, and no longer. Unsubscribing marks it on Resend as unsubscribed, so nothing further is sent to it; asking for deletion removes the record itself. Either way, the emails stop.

Anything about this page, or about the address held for you, goes to info@compoundeu.com.
If what happens to your data changes, this page changes with it and the date changes too. That date is the only record of a revision this page keeps, so it is worth reading before the rest.
